1.General description
Up to now, the squeezing and rolling as a pill technical is still one of the valid method pelleting mini-pills since it was used in the medicine realm by Reynolds and Conine in 1970. The first, it mixes the main powder, auxiliary material and wetting agent to soft material. Then roll as a mini pill by the rolling machine after squeezing threadline by the squeeze machine.
This machine is equipment for pelleting pill with some very absorbent material, which less fat or sugar is in it. In addition, it needs usually put some avicel as auxiliary material into the main material.
2. Pelleting Principle
The quantity of auxiliary material such as avicel is usually put into main powder the while pellete pill. It is 15~30 percent of main powder weigh, and the fineness is 18μm better. The avicel can reserve the humidity and moist the powder like molecule sponge. Water product a kind of grume between the powders to make the wet material has plasticity. While rolling, the wet is seep uniformly from the surface under the centrifugal force and keeps the plasticity of the grain. The saw tooth of the rolling pan cut the threadline to mini cylinder. Then to roll as ball under the centrifugal force. And we change the bore bowl of the squeeze head to make the different diameter pill.
